After three weeks of testing the Alpha, OpenStudy is ready to take the next leap. The community of Alpha users which are over 400 CS/EE students from the nation’s most reputable programs have been incredible. The feedback, emails, and suggestions have guided the priority of what features to come. From OpenStudy, we want to say a big “Thank You” and please do stop by and help contribute to Siddharth’s Coffee Cup Christmas Tree (mediums only please).
Today we are launching the Beta version of OpenStudy. What to expect:
Invites:
Along with having input on the direction of the product, we know OpenStudy is only as good as the people in it. Therefore each user has 5 invites for whomever they’d like. These invites allow users to invite people to OpenStudy or to a question. If you invite your friend (who’s not on OpenStudy) to a question, it does count as one invite.
Profile Settings:
You can now change your profile settings to match your school and change your “About Me.”
Email Notifications:
In order to know when your questions have been answered, Studypad worked on, or subscriptions to you, we’ve created email notifications for each scenario. Customize these settings anyway you’d like.
There are many new features in addition to the ones above, but these are the big ones for our Beta. Thanks again to all the readers and we’ll see you on OpenStudy!
