The Owlfred Chronicles

World Domination through OpenStudy Global Interns

Filed in All, February 11, 2012, 3:14 am by Owlfred

The title says it all.  We are ready to take over the world – and our Global Interns are going to do it for us.This Friday we announced our first batch of Global Interns. They come from remote parts of the world, now I can’t name them, because no part of the world wants to be called “remote.”  Twelve of them come from five different countries and most have never been an intern before.

At OpenStudy we are willing to take a chance on them. We have seen them in action on OpenStudy and they have dazzled us with their helpfulness, cheerfulness, smarts and competence.  They have leveled up, scored achievements, and gathered medals over time.  You’ll agree that success in life is not about book learning or grades in class, but a magic mixture that grades can’t even begin to capture. Talk to anybody who hires and you will hear words like “problem solving, engagement, teamwork, collaborativeness, communication skills.”  When did I last see that on a college transcript?

So we are going to do it our way.  We have chosen these Global Interns for their epicness on OpenStudy and will set them loose to evangelize and change the world.

Our first dozen (and not a single bad egg among them) are : 2Bornot2b, Pokemon23, Sasogeek, SaifooKhan, MSMR, Ns36, Jagatuba, Earthcitizen, Hero and KatrinaKaif, Sandra and Laura*. Want to meet them? Hey, just go online to OpenStudy. We have not met them face to face and may never do that, but that is OK.

We will train them to be professional, articulate, organized, and responsible, so when they apply to you for their next internship or employment, they come with the OpenStudy Seal of Approval.  You can let them loose online and they will rock your organization.

Still time to apply, there is room in the cool purple carton!
