Together we’ve created something magical – a community where students teach each other in exchange for knowing they helped someone else at their time of need.

And now, the OpenStudy team needs your help.  

Building and operating OpenStudy costs money for things like servers and team members – much more than we can make through things like ads alone.  Many of you have asked how you can help.

Today, we’re both gracious and hopeful to announce a way for you to directly sponsor OpenStudy, and get some cool perks in the process.  Now you can become a monthly subscriber by pledging $10 per month.

What you get for your monthly subscription:

• Know that you’re helping support OpenStudy’s continued operation and development.
• Choose your own custom “title” – a designation that appears next to your username in study groups and tooltips.
• Surf OpenStudy without viewing external ads from places like google.
• Display a diamond SmartScore indicator that signifies your sponsorship wherever your SmartSCore is displayed.

How it works:

1. Go to your account settings and hit the “Start a new Subscription” button [you must be logged in].
2. After completing payment, you’ll notice a new field on that same page that let’s you choose your custom title. Once you choose your title, everyone else will see it wherever you are on site.
3. The rest of the perks are automatic.
4. The subscriptions are renewed monthly and you can cancel at any time from the same page.

We understand that not everyone can afford to subscribe to OpenStudy, and that’s ok! For those that can – I assure you that your sponsorship is both critical for and appreciated by the entire OpenStudy team and community.
