OpenStudy Ambassadors for 2013

Filed in All, January 8, 2013, 6:47 pm by Preetha

Some of our best ideas come from our community!  A while ago, one of our regulars, KarateChopper asked us if she could help newbies on OpenStudy.  We took that idea and grew it into an OpenStudy Ambassador program.  And here to tell you more is KarateChopper.

“Interested in being an Ambassador? Not sure if you want to really become one? Let us take a deeper look into the matter. What is an Ambassador? One definition of ambassador is: A person who acts as a representative or promoter of a specified activity. That’s exactly what you would be for OpenStudy if you become an Ambassador!  You would become an official representative who can communicate how the site works, help newcomers learn about the site, and explain how to navigate through the site. The best part is that you feel really good when people become satisfied with the site because of your interactions with them. Who knows what could have happened if you weren’t there to help! People get overwhelmed with new things easily. They get confused.  But if they have a friendly person to guide them, they really get a sense for what OpenStudy  is. And of course, you get to make friends! You can’t have too many friends! By becoming an Ambassador for OpenStudy, you get satisfaction for yourself, help new people, and make many friends. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get going fill that application to be an Ambassador!-KarateChopper, Moderator, Originator of the Ambassador idea

I would only add that we are looking for people who live and breathe the Code of Conduct: “Be Nice, Give Help, not just Answers and Thank others for their help. ”  Simple rules to live by and to make the world a better place.  Want to join the Nice Crew? Here is the application form.
