We thank the many OpenStudiers who have served as OpenStudy’s Diplomatic Corps, the OpenStudy Ambassadors. Over the years, over fifty OpenStudiers have been visible on the site with A next to their name. As Ambassadors, they welcomed users and helped them settle in. They helped them navigate the site and really, helped them get help. We love them all.
Now, OpenStudy is thrilled to celebrate the two year anniversary of the OpenStudy Ambassador program by restructuring the program to provide even more value to the OpenStudy community and to the Ambies themselves.
Join the Recognition Ceremony on OpenStudy Ambassadors group – on Feb 1, 9 am Pacific Time, US.

More about the new Ambi program
Since January of 2012, the OpenStudy Ambassadors have served on the community’s front lines – by welcoming and guiding new users, by upholding the site rules and by repping OpenStudy in social media the Ambies have been a cadre of dedicated contributors to the social and corporate life of the community.
As that community broadens to serve ever more students and tutors, as it faces ever evolving challenges on the forefront of online educational innovation, the Ambies have never been more important to OpenStudy nor have their responsibilities been greater.
The Ambie program has been remodeled and revitalized to meet these evolving needs.
Ambies will still be helping be friend users, new and old. They will still set a positive tone in the community by exemplifying OpenStudy’s community and corporate ethos. They will still be OpenStudy’s elite Diplomatic Corps.
But their roles have expanded and evolved apace with the OpenStudy’s growth.
To meet the demands of these new roles, each Ambie will now receive professional training in essential core skills such as interpersonal communication, conflict resolution and site promotion and marketing. Crucially, the program will focus on progression from this inherent skill set to development and practice of higher level skills in accordance with each ambie’s individual interests, strengths and talents. Only Ambis who successfully navigate this month long training will be awarded their “A”.
Absolutely awesome sauce! New resources available through the Ambie program will include training videos, readings and focus groups dealing with the evolving challenges faced by OpenStudy. Each Ambie will receive mentoring and coaching from the Ambassador Management team to develop their potentials both as individuals and as a team of higher level contributors to OpenStudy
Of course, previous Ambassadors are welcome to apply.
Applications will be accepted from Feb 1 through Feb 15. The first new Ambassadors-in-training will be selected by March 1 and the final group will be announced by April 1. Looking forward to building a bright new Ambassador group.
